Giornata monotematica SIRR-INFN un evento organizzato congiuntamente tra INFN e SIRR (Italian Society for Radiation Research) si svolgerà il prossimo 6 Ottobre presso i LNS.

I temi trattati sono di interesse nell'ambito della fisica applicata alla medicina e al calcolo.

Dear Colleagues,

We’re excited to share that on October 6, 2025, the Italian Society for Radiation Research (SIRR) and the INFN – Laboratori Nazionali del Sud will host the first SIRR International Day: 2025 - Simulation and Biological Damage prediction, marking the first international event jointly organized by the two institutions following the recent signing of a formal collaboration agreement.

This one-day event in Catania will explore the theme of Predicting Biological Damage Through Simulation. It aims to bring together a wide scientific community working on topics such as Monte Carlo simulations, radiation–matter interaction, and radiobiological modelling.

The morning will feature invited talks by leading international experts, while the afternoon will be open to contributed presentations offering a space for discussion, exchange, and visibility for researchers at all stages of their careers. In particular, the active participation of early-career researchers and PhD students is strongly encouraged. The event is designed to be an inclusive and stimulating opportunity for young scientists to share their work, receive feedback, and build collaborations.

Abstract submission is now OPEN. We warmly invite you to submit your contribution and take part in this exciting scientific meeting.
