Present Your Research Work at "Advanced and sustainable coatings for high performance textiles"- EMRS 2024 Spring Meeting

Dear colleagues,  

It is my pleasure to welcome you to join in the "Advanced and sustainable coatings for high performance textiles" - F symposium (https://www.european-mrs.com/advanced-and-sustainable-coatings-high-performance-textiles-emrs) within the 2024 Spring Meeting (May 27th to 31st, 2024) of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), organized with the Foundation Jean-Marie Lehn, which will be held at the Convention & Exhibition Centre of Strasbourg (France), from May 29th to 31st, 2024.  

  

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I take immense pleasure and great honor to invite you and your co-workers to participate with an oral or a poster contribution on your recent research. Your insights and knowledge would undoubtedly enrich the discussions and contribute to the overall success of the symposium.

 

Hot topics that the symposium will cover are as follows:

1. Technical textiles
  • Environmentally friendly functional finishings
  • Bio-based UV absorber
  • Abrasion-resistance enhancement
  • Flame retardant treatments for textiles
2. Hybrid and composite-based coatings
  • Hybrid organic-inorganic coatings
  • Nanostructured textile coatings

3. Multifunctional textiles finishing
  • Bio-based and metal-free antimicrobial finishes

A joint session on Electronic and Sustainable Textiles is also planned (contributed chairs: Elvira Maria Correia Fortunato and Rodrigo Martins) in conjunction with E Symposium “Smart textiles for human well-being”, covering:

  • Optical fibers (O-Textiles)
  • Wearable energy harvesting concept
  • Metal-polymer or polymer-polymer connections (sensor basic textile connections)
